is a sceptre a good quality monitor maker?

If I were you, I would bypass Sceptre LCD Monitors and seriously consider looking elsewhere. The recent reviews on Newegg.com are a pretty good barometer on the many negative reports, especially concerning DVI ports that mysteriously quit after only a months use, if that. :x Oh and BTW, I just RMA'd back to Newegg a Sceptre 22 inch after I got a blank display after only 3 weeks :roll: :roll:

I have a sceptre and I love it, although I haven't tried their customer service yet. But I've heard its sub par. But for how cheap their products are i am willing to deal with it.
