Is a shark a great pet?

My pet ate a chamaeleon corpse and became a shark - doh! So I thought
let's take a few items and polymorph them together with my shark into
something more useful. First try... a jellyfish. So much seafood today;
is it Friday or what?

As you probably now, some people attract water. Maybe poseidon is you deity.
In a cave however, rain clouds can't occure, so maybe the sea monsters are sort
of a compensation for this 🙂

To your question: how do they move on dry land? Fast or slow?

It would be cool if you could ride the shark (in water of course) :)

Do we need some "scroll of mist cloud"? (To drown creatures in the cave.)

Haven't seen any difference in their velocity. Though their HP's decrease
fast until they have a single point left. Therefore I wanted the shark to
become something different, something that would be less susceptible to
falling stone traps or similar things. See my disappointment when I got
that jellyfish. (The shark was at least somewhat impressive! 🙂

Knights and characters with jumping boots could "jump the shark". Er,
I don't know why.

Sounds like a perfect candidate for an obscure YAFM.

I'll think of one in a minute, just bear with me ...

"Jump the shark" has an amusing origin. TV shows that last
many seasons often see their quality decay towards the end.
Even short-lived shows like the 3-season original Star Trek
was much lower quality in their 3rd season. In the TV show
"Happy Days" the Fonz jumped his motorcycle over sharks in
an episode that is generally used to mark the point where
lower quality became obvious. In TV fan groups there is
regular discussion of when some show "jumped the shark" or
if some show ever did so.

It would make for a wonderfull amusing message.

YANI: #chat to shark which is not in water should yield "Candygram!"

When a player tries to #jump but bumps into a shark:
"Who do you think you are, the Fonz?"

Thanks for the explanation. No wonder I could never figure out the
reference, because I actually thought "jump the shark" meant "jump OFF
the shark," which obviously did not help my comprehension.

Nit: He was, in fact, water-skiing.

On a motorcycle? That seems difficult.

No, pulled behind a boat like most other water skiers. There was no
motorcycle involved.
