You will struggle some on modern games, but 3-4 years prior will be perfectly fine. New games are often using more than 4GB RAM and the processor might bottleneck a bit. Most importantly, the integrated graphics card will bottleneck in modern games. That graphics card is less powerful than the Intel HD 4000 graphics cards in Intel processors, so yes you will not be able to play very recent games.

Play games 3-4 years and back to be fine. :)

He's playing the game at lowest settings with an fps of around 23 and it's in single player. The build tiny voices posted would play it much smoother with 60+ fps around high settings.

I'd suggest to save to around $400 and then build your own pc. You will need an OS (Operating System ex: Windows 7 or 8.1) however and that's another $90 unless you already have a copy with the key. Or you could use Linux for free but it wouldn't be the best for gaming.

Umm..check the BIOS..I think you have to switch it in there to use at least 512MB, that will make a difference (BIG FAT) with the regular default..
For now I can use my 'ol 7480D onchip for most anything unless the OS requires something other than XP..yes..I'm still using that..And I can still play anything that is supported under XP..
If you are unsure which option to chnage..it will say IGFX somewhere..
Underneath that is an option for memory..also, switch the dual screen off..(if you are not
using a second monitor on the same system..which works quite nicely..)
Know that when you have little memory to begin with, setting the video memory higher will
lower ur work memory..but 512MB for video is always good..unless you got a lot, in which case you can set 1GB or 2GB..
Most peopel don't know much about the APU's..specially this feature..
If set to a minimum like 32MB it's GPU part can't work optimum..
However, with enough memory assigned to video it's decent to say the least..
If you have abenchmark, try it with the regular option, and then try it with the assigned memory set to 512MB..you'll notice a difference..
TTFN..and keep going AMD, the more bang for the buck..

If you wanna shop for cheap computing, get help from a friend and buy this
http://shop.amd.com/en-us/components/processors/ecxMicUS45013

with 4 CPU cores and 6 GPU cores..so roughly twice the other..
(but don't forget..switch the bios setting for the assigned video memory to at least 512MB..)

It'll be plenty of computing power to satisfy 60 fps..

I'm thinking the mainboard will cost about 40 bucks..maybe 50..

Then all you need is a harddrive..

(hell, I had acomputer with no housing once a long time ago..just a mainboard sitting on the desk with power supply attached....LOL, but
it worked like a charm..)
