[SOLVED] Is an i5-8600K good enough for an RTX 2070?

I'm thinking of buying an RTX 2070 or a GTX 1080 and I'm wondering if an i5-8600K CPU is good enough. And is there anything else that is important when buying an RTX 2070 card?

My PC specs:

ASUS GeForce GTX 1060 6gb
8gb RAM
CPU Intel Core i5-8600K
Intel stock CPU cooler
ASUS ROG STRIX Z370-H Gaming motherboard
Samsung 970 EVO 250GB M.2 SSD + HDD 1tb

Thanks! I've always gotten the impression that an i7 is the way to go in these cases. If no one else has something to comment about it I will try to keep the 8600K

I will do some research on it. I've got a 650 watt PSU

8600K and it's 6 cores can handle either one of those cards.
