Hello everyone,
I'm looking to upgrade my old Hitachi HDD which is now running out of life with a brand new M.2 SSD which I will use as a boot drive as well as a place to store programs.
Due to budget restraints i've settled on the ADATA XPG SX8200 Pro PCIe Gen3x4 M.2 2280, what I cant understand however for the life of me is if its compatible with my motherboard's M.2 slot. My motherboard model is an ASROCK Ftal1ty Z97 Professional. The M.2 socket on the MOBO according to specifications is (PCIe Gen2 x2 & SATA).
The ADATA M.2 SSD's interface according to their website's specifications is M.2 (PCIe Gen3x4).
I want to avoid buying an M.2 which is incompatible with my motherboard.
Any assistance is appreciated.

ADATA M.2 SSD: http://www.xpg.com/us/feature/583
Thanks in advance.
