Hi There,

I have an older TV which has the red and white (Left/Right) audio out connection.

I am looking at getting the Sony HT-MT300 Bluetooth NFC Compact Sound Bar. It has the following connections: USB, Optical and Analog. That is literally all it says on the matter... I don't really understand if this is correct for me or not. I assume that analog is what I want, but I am not sure.

There is a picture of the connections. The analog looks like a single female connection of some sort (coaxial?).

So the question is can I connect my TV to this?

Thanks!

Yes, I had to do the same recently to connect my new Sony TV (3.5mm audio out) to my old (but still sounds wondeful) hifi system which has RCA inputs. Cable needed was easy to find using Google Search, cost me about a fiver here in the UK.

Before buying adapter cable, you need to establish whether the analog input on the sound bar is 2.5mm or 3.5mm.
It doesn't specify which in the manufacturer's product specs on Sony website, so have a look in the instruction booklet.

Since it looks like a relatively compact soundbar, it most likely has a 2.5mm audio output jack but that's no more than a guess.

Thanks very much guys - should have said that I have not actually purchased it yet - I wanted to buy it online but was worried it would not be compatible +1's all around :)
