Question Is anybody using RTX 4080 with 10700k?

Hi guys.. I just need advice and opinion..
I have a 10700k CPU ...with 3070 card..
I used to play on 1080p ..but now I am getting 1440p monitor ..
Iam stock between 4070ti or 4080?
Does anybody using 10700k at 1440p with 4080? Does it has bottleneck ?
Or 4070ti better for 1440p for next 2-3 years?

The 4070 TI and Radeon 7900xt are THE best options for 1440p at this time and cost about the same.

The 4080 would be overkill at 1440p.

I was using a 3800x and 2070 Super for 1440p gaming until recently and it performed extremely well. Your 10700k will be fine as the load on the cpu drops as the resolution increases.

Hey there,

So, there may be a very small bottleneck, but at 1440p, the load shifts more to the GPU, so any bottleneck at 1080p is almost gone at the higher res.

Pretty good CPU still for gaming, so either GPU will give you great 1440p results. Getting the 4080 isn't a bad idea either. You can use DLDSR to put more load on the GPU and upscale to 4k even with your 1440p monitor. It actually works really well.

Point being, you can upgrade your monitor further if needs to max out the GPU natively.

I have a 4k Sony TV .. what if someday I decide to hook up my PC case to TV and play some slow game like Fifa or Xplane simulator ..will 4080ti will handle that ?

Better than the 4070 TI? Of course.

The 4080/4090 are the best 4k gpu's available right now. The 7900xtx is the runner up.

The 4070 TI will struggle with some 4k titles, they skimped on the memory.

Hopefully the 5070's will be the first true 4k gpu's that are actually below $800 freakin' dollars.
