Hi everybody,
I want to buy ASUS Dual GeForce GTX 1060 6GB, but I don't know whether it is compatible with my system or not.
Can anyone help me?

my system is:
Motherboard: ASUSTek Computer Inc. A88XM-E/USB3.1 (FM2+)
CPU: AMD A10-7700K Radon R7
RAM: 12GB Dual Channel

Thanks.

If your power supply is up to the task, yes it will work, but that CPU isn't powerful enough to take full advantage of that GPU. Unless it is heavily discounted, I wouldn't buy a 1060 6gb, regardless.
Thanks for your reply.
I think the PSU is enough for the system. It is 650 Watt.
What do you suggest for CPU if I also want to upgrade it?
Thanks

I think the PSU is enough for the system. It is 650 Watt.

Wattage number alone means NOTHING when it comes to PSUs. QUALITY of the power source matters. The main concern is the "quality" of the power, the quality of the components used/CAPS, as well as the total AMP drawn on the +12V RAIL (output), the efficiency under load, "ripple suppression", among other factors.

I've seen PSUs labelled as 1K watts, but in actual real world scenarios, they can hardly pull 400 Watts from the wall, even under full load. Which PSU model/brand are you using ?

Power supplies are an imperative part of your system that should not be taken lightly. Throwing in a budget PSU could result in poor power efficiency or even a wrecked system. For the CPU check the mobo compatibility list, though I don't think any of these CPUs might help with an upgrade.

Agree, regarding PSU, with Metal Messiah. PSU quality matters way more than wattage.

You would need a new CPU, motherboard, and ram. Your current CPU is on a dead platform, with no real upgrades available. If you don't want to wait for Ryzen 3000, which is coming in 3 weeks, this would be a great upgrade, that will still pair well, with a GPU of similar/better performance, to a GTX 1060 6gb. A bios update would allow for Ryzen 3000, though. If you live near a microcenter, you can get it even cheaper. A GTX 1660 is a better buy, than a 1060 6gb, unless you are getting it super cheap. I included one just for pricing info.

Thank both of you.
Now I am sure that I need an overhaul. Your suggested system seems to be good with an acceptable price.
I will try my system to that or to a similar system.
