Question Is Baldur's Gate 3 overhead view all the time?

I was looking at new PC games and Baldur's Gate 3 has amazing reviews. I watched a Youtube video and noticed the game has a format I hate. From what I see, your character is about an inch tall on your screen and you have to strategically move your player character and followers where you want them like pieces on a chess board. I can't play this type of game. I tried Divinity Original Sin once and refunded it after 5 minutes. If anyone can confirm the majority of the game is played like this I will look for something else.
