Hello forum
I'll keep this post short, so here's my setup
Operating System
Microsoft Windows XP Professional 32-bit SP3
CPU
Intel Core 2 Quad Q9300 @ 2.50GHz
Yorkfield 45nm Technology
RAM
4,00 GB Single-Channel DDR2 @ 399MHz (6-6-6-18)
Motherboard
ASUSTeK Computer INC. P5QL PRO (LGA775)
Graphics
BenQ G2420HDB (1920x1080@60Hz)
1279MB GeForce GTX 470 (ASUStek Computer Inc)
Hard Drives
373GB SAMSUNG HD403LJ (SATA)
233GB Western Digital WDC WD2500AAJS-00L7A0 (SATA)
Optical Drives
TSSTcorp CDDVDW SH-S202J
DTSOFT Virtual CdRom Device
Audio
NVIDIA High Definition Audio
So I've been planning to buy a new SSD Hard drive and Windows 7, but my motherboard supports DDR2, and I'd have to buy a new CPU and a motherboard if I wanted to go for DDR3.
So I've been checking these Kingston HyperX T1 1066MHz DDR2 CL5 4x2GB (5-5-5-15) RAMs. I was wondering that how greatly it would effect my FPS/performance in gaming, and would it lift off some of the burden from my CPU/graphics card? I feel that my current amount and speed of ram memory is quite lacking for the games nowadays.
So, would it be worth it getting them, or just roll with my old ones.
Thanks already to all of you.
