Lets hope it doesnt go there. I need to check on a few things, and find out more about it. Ive been distracted by Denebs rlease and potential lately, and am hoping AMD pulls off a decent cpu, and its kept me from digging info on things gpu

Nvidia will probably jump straight to DX11. If Win7 is supposed to be here one year from now, and new cards will come in the first half of 09, these are just the die shrinks that we've been talking about right? There is no new functionality here. Nvidia will then either need to come out with DX11 cards in time for win7, or move to DX10.1 and be behind. I get the feeling they will do the die shrink that they've been working on, then teach pigs to fly so they can come out with DX11 cards in time for win7.

Rangers, I doubt it will be a new arch. A heavy reworked one and one that includes DX10.1/11, but it will still be based on the GTX series.

Ill bet a G150 against a 98GTX that what goes around comes around heheh, Ill even throw in a 88gts too!

Its so funny watching nVidia change their naming, its a wonder theyre still called nVidia.

OK, Ive looked around a lil, and a few people are pretty much sure (all speculation here) that the 5xxx series wil be DX11, but still no solid info as yet

I admit I was wrong about one thing according to engadet(?). The GTX295 is supposed to use the new 55nm chips. I would have thought they would have sold them and used the older chips in the GTX295. If the rumor mill is true, then I guess even the GTX260 at 65nm was to much for a dual GPU solution.
