Is Core i3 better than i5?

Hello everyone.
I wish to know whether core i3 3210 Processor better than core i5 2400?
Will core i3 3210 be able to play latest games?

No, the i5 will be far better.
They have about the same core performance but the i5 got 4 cores instead of just 2 cores like the i3.
The i5 will be WAY faster in every aspect (gaming, editing, etc.)

Go for the i5 and you're fine.

The I 3 is the lower end of the cpus the I 5 is the middle then the I 7 is the top end.

Generations dont make big differences. A 2nd gen i5 is still better than a 4th or 5th gen i3.

i5-2400 had score of 5,822 in passmark while i3-3210 had 3,932.
So, i5 had 48% more performance than i3.

Sandy Bridge and Ivy Bridge i3's weren't all that great, Haswell i3 and up are way better. So the obvious answer is that i5 2400 is still better than the i3 3210.

The i5 is much better than the i3. The extra cores may make a difference if they are used. Based on what I can see on cpuboss, the single core performance of the i3 is on par with the i5. But the i5 pulls ahead on the multi core but this is not that important as most games are still single threaded programs.
