So I recently got an R9 390 for a cheap price, but in my current system, I already have a 390. I don't know a lot about crossfire, so I am curious if it's worth it for me to use the two cards together. If it does not give a good boost to my performance I will just give it to my brother.

My system:
R9 390
Ryzen 5 2600x
B450-F Gaming board

If you have the PSU to run both GPU's it wouldn't hurt to try them together for your games but don't be surprised if you don't see much of an improvement as SLI/CF support is dwindling nowadays. You could even see poorer performance then a single card plus the heat could be an issue and then there's the possibility of microstuttering which doesn't hurt anything but is really annoying. For newer titles there could also be graphical issues, years ago I ran two GTX 780s in SLI and half the textures on AC: Unity/Division would be constantly blinking/shimmering (and yes the cards were fine, it wasn't artifacts).
