Yes, I even checked on part picker's compatibility tool. The motherboard is a 'micro' ATX (I picked mATX deliberately because there is little to gain over buying a full size board) whilst it will fit in the slightly smaller (mATX) case.
The only part that is slightly out of spec is the 2400 ram, which for $1 more is better quality than the 2133 version but (should) run at 2133 in xmp profiles anyway.Partpicker confirms the H170 chipset is o.k. with faster rams but they will run at 2133).
This parts list is balanced as far as budget allows (a $100 asus motherboard) and safe ( Tier 2 620 watt power supply from seasonic ;

)
The next video card upgrade from that worth having is a lot more money.
Here is the one from cyber power;

Here is the 2 gig 380 (cant find a 4 gig number);

So, this is a long term rig. You will want to upgrade the graphics card after a year or two (good power supply for that)
You will probably want a solid state drive sooner (up to you)
But I would expect to get 4 years hi end gaming use out of it and a year or two more as a 'spare'.
Please let me know how you get on, pm welcome.
Hmm, general performance ; the 6600 will kick the SNIT out of an FX 8320 in games and windows tasks but the fx is slightly better for video editing etc. But you want games ;#}[/
So is this a normal sized motherboard?
