is four megabits per second enough for streaming video?

We are considering buying a house that is out in the woods quite a ways. The only Internet I can find is windstream and the fastest it will go is 4mbps. Is that even fast enough to do anything besides surfing the web? Can anybody suggest any alternatives to satellite Internet that would be faster without a data cap?

You can buy unnlimited mobile data plans for 50-80 dollars/month. Yeah, that's not cheap but it will be probaly faster than the 4 mbits. Well, you could stream with a 4 mbit internet. but obviously only up to 4 mbps, which is not that bad. Take a look https://stream.twitch.tv/encoding/
