Is freesync worth it? [RX 580]

Right so I have a 75Hz freesync monitor, I was planning to get an RX 580. Unfortunately it seems to be unavailable absolutely everywhere and won't seem to be in stock until August (Which is too far away from an impatient simpleton such as myself). Is it worth waiting until it's in stock or just order a GTX 1060. Freesync look really useful, so I'm kinda stuck

Look at this way, you had a choice when you bought your monitor. You chose a 75hz freesync monitor. To now buy an Nvidia card, you'd be throwing away the money that the freesync feature cost you. Are you okay with that?
