Is FX-4300 good?

are you buying? cause I mean its the WORST time for a FX 4300. just check out the Passmark scores.
but if you want it to run at decent FPs it will. but it is strictly not budget friendly fo future upgrades. go intel
CSGO would run much better on a Pentium G4400 or G3258.
if you are buying, what parts have you decided and what is your budget?

I guess it could, but that's about all it would do. It'll suck at most newer games.

AMD FX series suffers the same low FPS as pretty much all other AMD CPUs. It'll run at 3.8GHz until it kicks up to 4GHz, but when it kicks up to 4GHz (turbo clock) it'll turn off two of the cores to limit heat output. So it's either four core and slow, or two core and faster. I don't like the FX series, I really don't. Even my FX 8350 overclocked to 5.2GHz just couldn't keep up with non overclocked Intel quad core CPUs.

It offers 4 Physical Cores (4 Logical), initially clocked at 3.8GHz, which may go up to 4.0GHz and 4MB of L3 Cache. ......but for gaming it gives average performance...and for CSGO it is OK.

If I tell you what system i have now you will tell me that i am joking. Every FPS boost is like a miracle to me. I am considering between the G4400 and the FX-4300. I know the Pentium is better but i have heard that more cores are better for CSGO. And i am talking to a guy who sells the FX-6300 and its hard that he will sell it to me.
