Is gaming on integrated graphics harmful?

This is my build. Ive been using it for a couple of month now. I still haven't bought a dedicated graphics card but i intend to do so in the future. In the meantime, i am using the CPUs integrated graphics. I have been primarily playing Skyrim for the past week or two (but of course, on the lowest settings.) The game seems to run normally without a problem, but sometimes it crashes with no apparent reason and today, for the first time, the graphics died for a few seconds. I was just browsing and suddenly my screen turned black for a couple of seconds then it came back and windows gave a message about the graphics adapter crashing and recovering or something like that. Could this be a result of my light gaming? Am i harming the CPU in any way? Was it meant only for browsing and videos? Your help is much appreciated.

That's a really nice system, put a decent GPU in there and you will be fine. You aren't damaging your system by gaming with the built in graphics.

Not harming it, just that the integrated graphics just aren that good. Intel graphics drivers arent as good as AMD and Nvidia, so its possible that is the cause of the crash.

I guess this message about the graphics crashing and recovering is most likely about the driver crashing.
Try to apply all Windows Updates and update the Intel 4th generation graphics driver.
