Question Is going for an open frame ok instead of a normal case ?

So this is the open-frame or test chassis for ITX m'boards that I've opted for instead of a normal ITX case. Is this a good idea or bad idea for cooling, etc? Reason behind it was I wanted a system that would be easy to clean and maintain. The Gigabyte A520I AC m'board is already secured, but the PSU still hasn't arrived btw because it was out of stock, so I ordered a new 550W SFX one just a few hours ago. Anyway, is an open-frame a good idea? My accom is high and dry, no pets running around, etc, so it should be safe.

sorry was out on vacation, all 3 computers are water cooled.

The first one ran 2 240mm slim radiators, 2500k @ 5.2Ghz and dual msi 560 ti twin frozr ii cards
Second ran an ek 480 with 360 radiators stacked on top of each other, i7 980x @ 4.4Ghz and 4 EVGA 670 ftw later switched to 4 EVGA 780 ti Kingpins
Third computer ran 2 danger den 120mm radiators 2500k @ 5ghz and an older zotac gtx 480

Those are some serious setups! Where did you get the open frames themselves, or are they DIY constructions?

I like the Lian Li PC-T60B for its industrial look, the Thermaltake Core P5 because of how much you can add to the system, and the Lian Li PC-T1B Mini ITX spider for its quirky, sci-fi robot look. If I was to choose just one of them, it would be the Thermaltake.
