[SOLVED] Is GTX 1660 Upgrade Logical In This Situation ?

Hello and thank you for taking the time to read this
Before I ask the question , my specs are as following:

CPU: i7 3770
GPU: Gtx 670 (2gb)
Motherboard: ASUS P8Z77-V LX
RAM: 8gb
DISPLAY : 1920x1080 60hz


I am a gaming enthusiast with low budget. I am planning of upgrading that GPU with GTX 1660. Mainly because I need more VRAM due to me installing texture packs & mods, thus my current 2gb vram is extremely problematic.

My first question is, would I have any compatibility issue with that brand new GPU on my old rig(with motherboard maybe)?
My second question is, is this a logical action? I am able to play metro exodus and far cry 5 on low-medium settings so I thought a boost on the graphics card would give me the results I crave for.

Yes, the GTX 1660 is heaps faster than your current GPU. It's worth upgrading. Even though your system is old, the new Turing GPU should work on that rig.

Pairs quite well with the 3770 and should have no issues running on your board.

They have tested more than 50 titles on this particular combination which includes testing of 1080p, 1440p and even on 4K!!
