Hello,

I want to change my graphics card from GT 230 to GTX 750, but I'm vary of this computer's motherboard, as I didn't find any datasheets online. I will be changing the power supply as well adequate to the new video card, but that is not the point.

The question is - will this motherboard support a GTX 750 without any troubles? Or should I expect there to be complications?

Thank you in advance!

Current computer specifications:

CPU: Intel Core 2 Quad Q8300
GPU: NVIDIA GeForce GT 230
RAM: 2 x 2 GB (A-Data ELQVE1B16)
HDD: Seagate Barracuda 7200.12 500 GB SATA II (ST3500418AS) & Toshiba StorE HDD USB Device (465 GB, USB)
MB: HP DX7500 / PEGATRON CORPORATION 2A84h
PSU: 300-watt ATX Power Supply

Codes on the sticker of the case: "FP930AV" and "d7500M/Q8300/500hqm/2U/BQ8j EURO"

If you need any more info, please don't hesitate to ask.

EDIT:
I know that HP computers and 7xx series video cards are known not to go well with each other, the reason being that some 7xx series cards are UEFI enabled, and HP's motherboards aren't ("HP didn't start to ship full UEFI level consumer desktop PCs until the middle of October 2012.", my PC was made in 2008, I think.).

I'm currently looking at GeForce GTX 750 OC, 2GB (GV-N750OC-2GI). Does anybody know if this card supports Legacy BIOS?

Might help.

HP/Compaq:

With new HP computers either press F10 to get in the BIOS, or the Escape key to bring up the Startup Menu then select Computer Setup or BIOS Setup. There’s a menu on the Advanced mode side for “Security”. Under “Security” there will be a "Secure Boot Configuration" menu where you would want to disable both “Secure Boot” and “Fast Boot” and then enable “Legacy Boot Support”. When the options are set hit F10 to save and exit out of the BIOS Setup. The system will reboot and ask you to enter in a passcode to confirm changes. After the system boots into Windows go ahead and shut the system down and install the graphics card as normal. The graphics should now be displaying through the video card.
