Hi! I want to buy an Asus Strix gtx 980 but I'm with shitty and a8-3870. Is gtx 980 compatible with amd a8-3870? Thanks!

It is compatible, but you will have a massive bottleneck.

I would say no. at 1080p that card will be held up in games , and at 1440p, the card will start to run out of power. I suppose you could try to overclock the cpu.
