is harddisk data transfer rate important

hey guys
i wanted to ask that is harddisk data transfer rate important (gaming fps)
my h.disk data tranfer rate is 5.8 (aero rating)
i am using a gtx 650ti with i3.

Windows highest rating for a hard drive is 5.9. I wouldn't worry about this index number. Transfer rate will determine how fast your programs load or how fast game levels load. For gaming, you generally want a fast hard drive.
