Is i5 7500 good enough for gaming?

I'm currently looking for parts for my first PC build and I was thinking of pairing gtx 1070 with i5 7500 and use it mainly for 1440p gaming. So I want to know if i5 will cause bottleneck and if it will be good enough for gaming?

It will be good enough for any game out today. It should last just as long as your graphics card if not longer. The higher you go up in resolution the less CPU is used and the more GPU is used. As graphics requirements go up your GPU will likely be the bottleneck in the near future.
