Is i7-4930k a good CPU?

Hello guys, im here to ask you a question. I was browsing last night through good online computer hardware stores in my country and i saw an i7 4930k for 288€, and i was like what? (Literally). On the Intel's official site, it says recommended customer price is around 550$ mark, so im asking you should i buy it?
Also, why is the price so low? Maybe because its an older 4th generation or maybe the chip is faulty and they are trying to rip me off?( i dont think so since is the #1 tech store in Slovenia).
Opinions?
