Some Intel X99 chipset motherboards may need a BIOS update prior to using Broadwell-E CPUs. Upgrading the BIOS may require a different CPU that is supported by older BIOS revisions.

Solution
Most X99 motherboards are updated for Broadwell at this point. You will be fine, just ignore the message. IF however, the CPU does not work with the version of BIOS installed, get a cheap CPU off eBay that is compatible and update. But, that is unlikely.

Even if not supported, you can use the Flashback, that allows you updating the BIOS.

You need to add an aftermarket cooler. The Cryorig H5 would be a good addition and the bios issue has long since been fixed. This said I suggest you wait for the 2066 X299 motherboards and skylake-X 6 cores this June.
