I have a Fujitsu Lifebook AH 512 with processor Intel Pentium B960, 2,2 GHz 4 GB RAM. When I check System Information it says x86 based PC. In internet I found information that it is a 64 bit CPU. I am running Windows 7 32 bit OS. Why is this discrepancy in the info ot do I read something wrong? I plan to boost the RAM in the next months if possible, that is why I am asking.

Solution
"x86 based PC", doesn't mean it's 32bit, it stems from Intel 8086 (one of first PC processors), gradually becoming 80286, 80386 (shortened to 386/486 and finally becoming x86.
Intel Pentium B960 is relatively modern dual core, 2 thread CPU capable of running any 64bit OS.

The discrepancy is that you have a 32bit version of Windows installed.
The CPU is a 64bit chip.

That 32bit Win 7 can only access ~3.5GB RAM. If you plan on more than that, you'll need to change to a 64bit Windows install.
And that is a full wipe and reinstall, not simply an "upgrade".
