Is it a good time to buy RAM ?

I intend to build a new rig using DDR4, but it's so expensive(almost the price of the CPU I plan to buy).

After the incident of Samsung and the others companies getting caught for price fixing, there will be a probable reduction of price, possible even more because of DDR5 coming.

Even so, should I wait the price drop or wait the DDR5 ?

not likely, as long as there are demand for dram chip from (cellphone, server ram blah blah), price will still be somewhat high, and the price may fall from the DRAM supply side, but will take few month or longer for the consumer side to reflect the price.
