Hello, I have a question, a few months ago I installed a new GPU (gtx760) it worked fine except for some occasional glitches, yesterday this got a lot worse and I no longer have a graphical interface, only terminal (gentoo linux), so I thought it would work (gtx760) ) was the problem because it was used and I installed my old graphic (gt610) that worked fine, but now it doesn't work either, I get only terminal with strange characters

Now I'm writing this with the integrated graphics (NVIDIA GeForce 7025 / nForce 630a), which works but it's slower than a snail and I think it has a problem showing the bios because the initial logo only shows 640x480 and not 1920x1080

Gt610 good, I don't know why it doesn't work now

So now I don't know if the artifacts that I saw with the gtx760 were a problem with the graphics card or with the motherboard, because now when I put the card that I thought was good it also fails.

And I also did a vram test with mats, everything went well, I tried the 2Gb

My motherboard is MSI gf615m-p33
Corsair CV550 Power Supply

This appears in dmesg when the squares were output

It definitely looks like a GPU issue/problem, IMO. Not the mobo. Most likely the GPU VRAM is corrupted.

That's an XID message, which means a GPU error, most likely due to the GPU being programmed incorrectly, or the commands sent to the GPU are bad/corrupted for most part. The Nvidia driver prints this message to the operating system's kernel log/event.

But this could either be a hardware, software, and/or a user application error. Are you using the "stable" version of Gentoo Linux ?

I don't think it's a stable version, I use a lot of masked packages, but I don't think it's a gentoo problem, I've seen these problems on windows too.

Why does this affect the good GPU? The gt610 has no problems and still looks like video 3.

I did VRAM tests for hours and they all come out correct so I don't know what it could be

I know I have RAM problems, I disabled a few MB of RAM and the system recovered stability, maybe I missed a bad sector, I didn't think that could affect the video, I'm going to removing it.
