  1. Do PSUs change much over time, as far as using it over time? Are PSUs good to reuse in builds over 7-15 years?
  2. Do PSUs change much over time, as far as the technology used? Like what's the difference between a 80 plus psu that's rated the same from 2015 and one from 2022?

  1. If you have a build that requires 800 watts for example, would a 1000 watt psu consume less power than a 2000 watt psu in the build or would it be the same?
  2. Would either affect your electric bill more than the other?

  1. 80 Plus Standard to Titanium, do you save money on your electric bill that would make up for spending more on a higher rating?
  2. How can you check if it is working at its rated percentages Power Supply Units Made Easy: 80 Plus Ratings - Overclockers UK?
  3. If the PSU stops working at its rated efficiency, are you able to warranty exchange it?
  4. Overall, i'm trying to see if spending a lot on a PSU is worth it or not., what are your thoughts?

If you're spending on a PSU, get one that's meant to power your build, and then some more upgrades so a PSU with more wattage than you actually need will help you in retain the unit for a longer period of time. It's been shown in the past that the 80+certification can be bought or misrepresented but companies that have a high degree of ethics and stand by their products, will tend to do the right thing and make sure that their units are either meeting the 80+ advertised standards or exceeding it. Your PSU requirement will depend on the parts in your build, as they'll be feeding off the PSU.
