I have just build my new computer but i notest that the fps was not as good as i thought it would be. I opened msi afterburner and i saw it was not using 100% of the cpu and in battlefield 1 it was only using 50% and i had around 50-60 fps.

My specs

Gtx 1080
Ryzen 1600
One stick of 16gb ddr4 ram

I had read around that there would be no bottlenecking with this system, so i'm not sure what the problem is.

video driver update? windows update? bios update? etc etc.
go google some ryzen update video. it may help
there are lots of things to be update for the Ryzen. and what kinda setting you using. and your rig setup? more info may help? like psu?ram speed? motherboard, did you use an SSD for os and BF1? etc etc. more info is needed.

I used msi live update to install my drivers, my friend said it would install all the things i needed but i dont know i am kind of new to computers.

More info

I have a 500 watt power supply, not sure what kind i'm on holiday so i cant check.
Ram speed: 2133 MHz
Motherboard: Msi b350 tomahawk

I'm using highest possible settings while playing battlefield although not 4k because i don't have a 4k moniter yet.
I know 1080 is overkill for 1080p and i'm planing on getting a better moniter.

That video card uses a good bit of power. The Ryzen is 125 watts I believe. Nvidia recommends a 500 watt power supply or better. On the surface you have that, but some brands don't put out the advertised wattage. It could be you are getting starved for power amd throttling.

600 should be enough. The problem with power supplies is that some of the cheaper ones don't put out the advertised wattage. But if it is a true 600 watt PSU, then you should be good with that one. I will keep my fingers crossed for you.
