Hi.
I will try my best to describe my situation.
1) I switch the mains of my TV using the switch on the wall.
The TV turns ON in standby mode because I always turn
it OFF using its remote.
2) I switch on the mains of my Set Top Box using the switch on the wall.
The Set Top Box starts booting immediately because I don't turn it
OFF using the Set Top Box's remote.
3) I turn ON the TV from standby using its remote
I get display on the TV and I see the Set Top Box
finishing its boot process and finally I see a TV
channel.
My problem :
When I want to turn OFF the TV for a short period of time
say half an hour I turn it OFF using using the TV's remote
and it goes into standby mode.
Note : The Set Top Box stays ON. I don't turn it OFF.
When I come back to watch the TV again I turn it ON using its
remote and it goes from standby mode to power ON state
but I see
"NO SIGNAL"
displayed on my TV after switching it ON from standby mode.
What I do next is switch OFF the Set Top Box from the main supply (A.C.)
and turn it back ON.
After say 5 to 6 secs the "NO SIGNAL" goes away and I get the signal
from my Set Top Box back again.
Is it my TV or is my Set Top Box going bad ?
Note: The above mentioned problem does not
occur all the time. It only happens sometimes.
