Is it necessary to have or buy water based cooling system for Asus Maximus VI Formula with mediocre or normal mode of operations?

If you are planning to overclock then you should buy a aftermarket aircooler or perhaps a whole watercooling system.
But if your are not planning to overclock and just a hardcore gamer then unless you have good airflow in your case, it should be ok to go without watercooling.

I've CM Storm Scout 2 chassis. Many reviews have mentioned use of aluminium and problem of corrosion. Can it be a problem when not using water based cooling system? What about sabertooth. Is sabertooth comparable with Formula?
