[SOLVED] is it normal for a brand new gaming laptop's battery to drain even when it's shut down?

I didn't use my hp omen for about a week, the battery went down from around 55% to 6% (wouldn't even turn on without being plugged in)
i'd really appreciate it if someone could help me out here!

Every laptop is like this. I had a Asus G752VT that dies after 4 days on shutdown with a 100% power. Some drain slow, some drain fast.
