Question Is it normal for a Seagate Barracuda to hum all the time?

An old friend gave me this computer in late 2014. The hard disk is a Seagate Barracuda (unknown model) 1TB HDD. Out of all the years I owned it, I noticed a whining sound, which I believe is coming from the drive. I looked this up and saw other people having the issue, so I think that's it. I think this drive is original with this computer. It is an HP Compaq 8000 Elite SFF Desktop.
