Is it normal for my i7-3770k to run at 5GHz without changing any voltages?

I set the multiplier to 42 this morning hoping to get a CPU speed of 4.2 GHz without changing any voltages. I ran some stress tests for a while with no errors and no temperature issues but task manager says it is running at 4.8-5 GHz? https://gyazo.com/848e78fe4fe1029b8ae274c024ae41fb . Is it just a glitch or is it actually running at 5 GHz? Is there another way of checking?

On another note, will the overclock to 4.2 GHz affect the longevity of the processor if I don't change the core voltage?

The question is, How stable is your system with those Bios settings at current voltage and tested under load.
It is not the Frequency that will determine the longevity, It is the heat generated at a higher voltage setting in order to maintain stability.
I have heard that it is possible with a very good Silicone sample, However you should conduct a stress test of your system to determine if your temps and cooling system are up to par.
