Is it normal for system to be laggy with more ram than before?

So I was running 8gb (1 Stick) ddr4 3200 mhz and just upgraded it to 4x8gb ddr4 2933mhz. My board is a HP 8704 which i researched before buying the memory but I saw on the stick its for amd ryzen which i dont have (is that revelant)?

So anyways I seem to be experience some input lag and various operations and would love someone to help me bash out a few solutions to see if i bought the wrong stuff? and maybe highlight any parts of my pc i need to change...

check to see if the ram is running at 2933mhz?

how full is the ssd?

I made the hdd into two partitions, C: about 300gb and the D: is about 1.8gb. How would I check the speed of it? I checked msinfo and it displayed the ram as correct but no speed information.

Just tested it and every stick is running at 2666 mhz
