[SOLVED] Is it normal for the CPU fan to be loud when adding a GPU?

Hello guys! I'm having troubles to figure out what's going on with my computer...

I bought a HP Elitedesk 800 G2 SFF with the i7-6700 and everything is working great.

Before I even booted it up the first time I added my MSI 1050Ti 4GB Low Profile and as above, everything works great. I can play games such as GTA V without bottleneck (test game).

HOWEVER I did notice that both GPU and CPU fan is really loud for some reason, even when I'm at the desktop in idle mode... It's even higher when I'm playing GTA on low/medium settings... The GPU fan wasn't this high on my previous computer that was an HP 8200 SFF.

Now here is the strange part: When I remove the GPU, everything is quiet and I can barely hear the CPU fan spinning like crazy as before. I can even play GTA V again with the same settings (low/medium) and the CPU fan is still quiet.

Do you know why this happens? As soon as I add the GPU again both CPU and the GPU spins a bit high, even if it's on idle. Both fans spins much higher when I play simple, non demanding games... :/

What are your temps?

It sounds like when you are adding the GPU, in the SFF case, it is increasing the heat within the case so the fans have to run higher (louder) to keep both the GPU and CPU cool. You previous case might of had better thermals / air flow so it didn't get as hot.

Maybe it's my graphic cards fault, I've had it for a while now (2 years maybe). But it's still doesn't make any sense since I didn't hear it this loud when I had my old SFF computer :/
They are the same size and the other computer barely had any air flow compared to this one.

I've just updated to the latest HP BiOS update, still the same.

I've already installed Nvidia drivers and MSI Afterburner. And I've already set the fan curve, still the same. And I did all those settings yesterday...

But I've noticed that the GPU fan always stays at 40% even if it's on idle, according to MSI Afterburner

I see the Fan setting is "Auto", can that be changed to custom to go with your custom curve (not a user of MSI Afterburner sorry there)?

Have you tried deleting the software to see how the card runs normal with fan speeds?

Those temps look pretty good so I don't see why the fan would be at 40%.
