It's been a while since I posted on here about this issue. My SSD went down another percent since the last time I discussed this. To briefly recap: I still have 8GB of RAM*, have the paging file on the "Let Windows Decide" option since I feel more comfortable with that, and rerouting the I/O thing to Firefox was too confusing.
Even with these decisions, I still feel dread as I lose another percentage. I feel like I've made a horrible decision or that I've done something wrong when the past few months have been anything but. I know deteriorating SSDs are an inevitability, but I feel like I should ask if the rate of a percent every three months is normal.
Is there a way of knowing from this data how long my SSD will last?
* = Since I don't feel comfortable to personally install another stick of RAM, so I'll have that done at the same time I replace the SSD if it does come to a time where I replace that instead of buying a new computer, at which point I'd just buy a computer with 16 gigs of Ram to save myself some headaches.
