Question Is it normal that usage of my i5 8600k is at full load on game Assassin's Creed Odyssey

Yesterday I watched Youtube video of benchmark performance between GTX 1060 and RX 580 paired with i7 8700k. CPU (i7 8700k) usage on AC Odyssey is in average 35%, while in my case exceed 90% all the time? Is this normal?

Yes. That game struggles with only 6 threads.

Just as a reference my OC'd Ryzen 5 2600 shows from 50 to 80% CPU usage (mostly around 70%) and 80 to 90% GPU usage when playing AC Odyssey on very high settings at 1080p/60Hz.

As you can see in this video the game seems to favor 6c 12t Ryzen 5 over the 6c 6t i5

Your cpu should be ok, just don't use the ultra preset.
this guy managed to get almost 60fps with settings on high and very high with an older 4c/4t i5 4690K
