[SOLVED] Is it normal to have large temperature spikes on a new HP Elitebook g850 ?

Hi, below is the CPU temperature profile of my new hp elitebook g850 (intel i7, 32 GB RAM, 512 GB SSD). Can someone tell me whether these are normal. I only did general browsing, office and Teams. Thanks

No it should not be hitting that high of a temp without a full stress test or rendering video or something similar. But it may also be the utility you are using to measure, try another one, HW monitor is good.
Thank you for your reply. I tried other monitors and same results. However, I think I manged to solve the issue. First I used to power management trouble shoot in control panel which helped to get the balanced power management profile. Then I installed intel extreme utility and turned of the turbo boost short power max and also reduced turbo boost power max to the maximum limit of the cpu in my case 15 W. Now the temperatures are much more stable
