Is it ok not to put GPU in the first slot?

Hi guys


I recently build the but the the first slot of the gpu cant be slot due to the Pc case . And now i put the gpu in slot 3.( Asus rampage V 10 edition). The point is that is the gpu perform the same ? Cause i overclocked the gtx strix a8g to nearly 2k core clock

it is OK.
the 3rd slot operates at x8 which is more than enough for any modern GPU

According to the manual, It will operate either at PCIe x 16 (40 lanes CPU) or PCIe x 8 (28 lanes CPU), depends on the CPU. Anyway, there will be no performance difference, see this comparison NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 PCI-Express Scaling.
