Is it okay to place a heat sink on a Raspberry Pi 3 Model B+ WiFi chip?

I have a spare heat sink. Its size is a bit smaller than the Pi's WiFi chip.
1. Can I stick it to the Pi's WiFi chip?
BTW I am going using a Thermal Compound / Paste to glue the heat sink to it.
2. Is it okay to do so?

BTW I was asking about sticking a heat sink on the WiFi chip of the Pi. I am not trying to overclock my Pi. But when it comes to cooling electronics, I'd like to be prepared before hand especially given that the Pi can high temps if I comes under heavy loads.
What do you mean by the last part? How sticking a heat sink on the chip is risky?
Do you own a Pi 3 B+?
