Is it possibe to replace i5 3317U with a Core i7-2630QM

I have two laptops, my newer one is a hp sleekbook and my older one is a acer media centre/desktop replacement. The acer has started to fall apart and so I was wandering if it were possible to swap the i7 in the acer into the hp. Do you imagine that they will be compatible/fit. Could anyone tell me if their at all swappable, and if the fan and power which my hp already has is sufficient. Thank you.

What is your specific system, some mobile BIOS rejects CPUs not offered with the system.
