I recently signed up for NordVPN and installed the app on several of my devices. I soon realized that buying a router and setting it up for my home connection was a good idea, so I did it. Clarification: I mean that I bought a router and made it a VPN router.

I'm still running the Nord app on my phone, of course, to be protected when I'm away from home. Is there any way to auto-disconnect from the VPN when I'm connected to my home WiFi? Or is it unimportant? Should I just leave the app running while I'm connected to the router. I don't want to turn off the app, because I'll probably forget to reconnect when I leave.

I have not seen a vpn that is smart enough to detect which network you are on and disconnect by itself. You likely will have to manually disconnect it. I have not used that particular vpn so it may have some option but it would be a complex thing to program.

I apologize. My question was a little vague. I flashed the new router with Tomato. I'm already on the VPN when I connect at home.
