Just want to do some experimenting, surprisingly I found a motherboard for the cpu, its some chinese board (like 30-60 bucks), not sure if it will fully work, but again its just a experiment. But since most Mobile CPUs just have the dies exposed I know that I can't just slap the cpu into the motherboard with a standard cpu cooler because it would potentially crack the dies on the cpu. I was wondering if anyone has any ideas for adding a heat spreader onto it or some sort of mounting solution readily available for purchase. Just curious.

It's 35W TDP chip, perhaps try and see if you can add a small chipset heatsink with a small fan atop of it, though your motherboard should have mounting holes surrounding the CPU's socket. To ask out of curiosity, can you please pass on the link to the board you've purchased?

I have yet to buy the motherboard, but from the sources that I read from say that the i3-370M fits two socket types, the BGA1288, PGA988 socket types.
Here is 2 links to two somewhat different boards : (Has DIMM slots) https://www.ebay.com/itm/225114238908
(Has SODIMM Slots) : https://www.alibaba.com/product-detail/mini-itx-motherboard-hm55-pga988-bga1288_60515890088.html
Not sure if it matters on the socket type (PGA988 / BGA1288) but the mechanism for securing the CPU both look like the one from the motherboard of the laptop I pulled from.
