Is it possible to combine two 1280x1024 monitors as one for gaming/movies?

It is for my brothers PC and they have more than enough power and ports to do it and the two monitors are the same model, size, and resolution. Is it possible to combine the monitos as if they were sayyyyyy a 2560x1024 resolution? I doubt that resolution exists lol but i would love for them to play games or watch YouTube on two of them as one u til they get a better monitor.

I believe you can do that, but I don't have another monitor set up so hopefully one of the ppl on here with 2 can give you a 100 percent sure answer.

Both AMD and Nvidia have programs/features that allow you to combine multiple discrete monitors into one big virtual monitor. From my understanding, AMD's Eyefinity is a bit more full-featured and can handle more weird cases, but either should be fine for two monitors at 1280x1024
