Hi,

I'm on a quest to digitize my LP records, but unfortunately my Turntable isn't connected to my PC. It is connected to a Yamaha receiver R-N602. Most info I found was how to stream music from PC to Receiver. I'm looking to do the opposite. I would like to capture the sound coming from the Yamaha receiver and digitize my LP in that manner on my PC. The receiver is recognized in the networks and devices. So how do I stream the sound coming from it? Neither WMP nor itunes are seeing it. Am I trying to accomplish the impossible? surely I'm not the first one to think of digitizing their LP Records that way! Any assistance would be much apricated. Thank you. - Mike

Solution
If your receiver has an aux out or a headphone out you can connect that to the mic input of the computer and play around a bit with the volume and line levels on the computer input setting to get a good non-clipping recording. Many people that record their records do it with record players with USB outputs they connect to the computer to record from.
