[SOLVED] Is it possible to duplicate a display, but run the second one only when wanted?

The question might not sound as good as needed so I will try to explain a little. I have a GTX 1060 and I'm running Windows 10. My main display is connected to the DVI connector and the second display (samsung TV) to the HDMI. I use them as duplicate displays, one for staying at the desk the other for playing from bed. In the past, I kept connecting and disconnecting the HDMI so it doesn't affect the in game performance.

Is there any way that allows me to keep the HDMI connected everytime, but only power it on when I want to use it?

Win key + P allows you to cut the signal from the second moniotor, though it will still consume some power. If you don't want to draw any power, then you have to press the power button
