i am replacing a computer that has an ssd as it's c drive .. is there anyway i can pull that drive and make it in to an external drive even if just to pull the info off of it? the computer got damaged in a fire but both the drives are alright

the 1t regular hard drive i know there is a way to make it in to a makeshift external but i don't know much of anything about ssd's but i would like to pull the info off of it

thanks in advance

Not sure to what extent you mean external, however (in the literal sense), there are no problems in (temporarily) housing the SSD physically outside the PC. This will mean that both the power lead and data lead from the motherboard to the SSD can accommodate being placed outside.

For the purposes of accessing info from these drives (which is what I think you mean), there are a number of ways to do this. The easiest is to use e.g. Acronis Disk Director or Paragon Partition Manager and use the recovery (boot) option to read the info from any attached drive.

No need for all that. Connect it via USB as outlined above, and it appears as just another drive letter. Copy what you need off it.
